Taking Actions In Spite Of Fear

Learning to proceed in the face of fear could change your life!

Google Defines "Fear" as... "An unpleasant emotion caused by the belief that someone or something is dangerous, likely to cause pain, or a threat."

If you have ever let fear stop you from doing anything in your life... take a few minutes to watch this video... It could possibly change your life!

"The only thing we have to fear is fear itself." - Franklin D. Roosevelt

So now that you know what fear is, and you have hopefully watched the video that talks about taking action in spite of fear and obstacles, can you think of a time that you let fear get the best of you? Have your fears ever discouraged you from doing something?

I know it has to me!

Recently I learned how hard it was to get into something that I had no knowledge about. I basically had a dream to make a lot of money, and tried to find out ways how I could do just that. Ta-Da... Welcome Internet Marketing!

For anyone who is either getting into internet marketing, or who at one time was the new kid on the block, you know how scary it can be!

So what can be done?

"The first duty of man is to conquer fear; he must get rid of it, he cannot act till then." - Thomas Carlyle

Let's face it, if something is overwhelming or "too much" your brain will probably think of all the reasons why you can't do it. You will begin to ask yourself "what if?"

Since our brains function is survival, it will automatically create fear in almost any situation, even if everything is fine! Think of how many situations you have been in that created some kind of fear or panic and when you actually started doing it, you realize, "hey wait, this isn't close to as bad as I thought!"?

This has happened to me in school, in sports, job interviews, work and even vacations.

But this doesn't have to be the way it is. Your brain does not have to be the final word. The trick is to learn how to acknowledge that the fear is there, but continue to put on and take the first step. If you decide to try to wait the fear out, you are making a big mistake, and will probably never act.

An example of this for me is... If I would have listened to everything that my brain said about internet marketing, and starting a new career... I WOULD HAVE NEVER GAVE IT A TRY! While I realize that it take a lot of work and dedication, I also realize that it is not as hard or as scary as my brain made it seem.

Motivational speaker T. Harv Eker says, "you must learn to tame the cobra of fear... not kill, but tame."

Humans are all the same... Both rich and poor, everyone has the same worries, doubts and fears. So what's the difference? How did the rich get rich, while the poor stay poor? The rich and successful people don't give in to those fears, worries and doubts!

Do you think Mark Zuckerberg had doubts and fears about creating the biggest social network in the world? Do you think there were ever times that he wanted to give up or was scared that he would fail? I'm sure he did, but never let those thoughts or fears get to him, and proceeded on in the face of that fear. Look where he is now... On top of the internet world with the biggest social network in the world.

Yes... That's it! Train yourself to hear and understand the fears that your brain creates, acknowledge them, and continue to take that step. Fully realizing that nothing is really as bad or drama filled as your brain anticipates it to be! The next time you have fear in anticipation of something... remember this acronym:

  • F - alse
  • E - vidence
  • A - ppearing
  • R - eal

Yes... FEAR is just False Evidence Appearing Real.

Start today... Act Now... Train yourself you acknowledge fear, tell your brain thank you for trying to protect you... AND GO ON ANYWAYS!

It WILL change your life

"To fight fear, act. To increase fear - wait, put off postpone." - David Joseph Schwartz
